How are money and gifts distributed?

Gifts of money are often designated for specific needs or projects in Mexico and are distributed accordingly. Undesignated donations are normally used to purchase produce, staple foods such as beans, rice, oatmeal, dried milk, Bibles and so on. These items are in turn distributed to the more than twenty Orphanages and Care Homes, fifteen Pastors and church related support facilities, twelve daycare facilities including prison ministries. A total of Forty Seven facilities with a head count of over 2600 people. Regular trips every four weeks covering about 430 miles on the "long trip" and 325 miles on the "short trip" are made in pickup trucks by board members and other volunteers.

How can I be certain that what I contribute will go to the children?

The board of directors, which meets, monthly, endeavors to monitor the distribution of food and supplies to ensure that they are, in fact, being used for the intended purpose. We strive to assure that every effort is to provide the most benefit to those we are helping.   MCCA strives to keep it's administrative expense at or below 3% of the received donations.

Annual financial statements are prepared by MCCA and are available upon request. Newsletters are sent out to contributors and interested persons.

We have our site on a free hosting service in order to save money so as much of the donations as possible go to the children that we serve. As a result there are advertisements on the top of each page that are placed there by the hosting service, MCCA is not in control of these advertisements nor does it necessarily endorse or support the companies that advertise here. If you or someone you know would like to donate space to us on a web server that would not have such advertising please contact our or a board member.
